Adara Development Nepal Program

Adara logoThe Adara Group is an international development organisation and an Australian corporate advisory and private placement business. The core objective of the business is to fund Adara Development’s core support costs. Adara Development’s objective is to work side by side with communities and children in remote areas in Nepal and Uganda, improving their lives through health, education and other community development projects.

The Trust began supporting Adara’s Nepal program in 2016, following the devastating earthquake there in 2015.

International Grammar School Indigenous Scholarship Program

International Grammar School is an independent, secular, co-ed P-12 school located in Ultimo, Sydney, on the land of the Gadigal people of the Eora Nation.  The school has had a long commitment to educating local Indigenous students, primarily from Sydney’s inner-city.  IGS today has about 20 young Indigenous people on scholarship and is actively engaged with the local Aboriginal community in Redfern and Glebe.

The Trust has supported the IGS Indigenous Scholarship Program since 2011.

Asylum Seekers Centre

Asylum Seekers Centre logoThe Asylum Seekers Centre’s mission is to provide a welcoming environment and practical support for community-based asylum seekers, while building community support and pursuing social justice outcomes for them.  The Centre provides practical and personal support for asylum seekers living in the community.

The Trust has supported the Asylum Seekers Centre since 2014.

Refugee Council of Australia

Image of Refugee Council logoThe Refugee Council of Australia (RCOA) is the national umbrella body for refugees and the organisations and individuals who support them. It has more than 180 organisational and 700 individual members. RCOA promotes the adoption of flexible, humane and practical policies towards refugees and asylum seekers both within Australia and internationally through conducting research, advocacy, policy analysis and community education.

The Trust has supported the Refugee Council since 2014 to help fill a critical funding shortfall after its core funding was removed by the Australian Government.

Australian Friends of Vellore

Vellore LogoThe “Friends of Vellore” is an organisation in Australia supporting the Christian Medical College and Hospital in Vellore in South India.  The Australian Friends of Vellore has a special interest in the Low Cost Effective Care Unit. This unit was established in 1982 -83 to meet the health needs of the poor.

The Trust has supported the Friends of Vellore since 2007.

Médecins sans Frontières

MSF logoMédecins Sans Frontières is the world’s leading independent organisation for medical humanitarian aid. MSF provides relief after natural disasters, helps victims of conflict and runs emergency feeding programs during nutritional crises. In 1999 Médecins Sans Frontières was awarded the Nobel Peace Prize.

The Trust has supported the work of MSF since 2007.

Fine Music 102.5 (2MBS-FM)

2MBS logoFine Music 102.5 (2MBS-FM) is a community broadcaster run by more than 260 volunteers – aided by a handful of employees.  It presents a vibrant mix of classical, jazz and contemporary music.  The very first Sydney radio station on the FM band, 2MBS-FM changed to Fine Music 102.5 in July 2012.

The Trust has been a supporter of Fine Music 102.5 since 2007.

Breast Cancer Trials

Formerly known as the Breast Cancer Institute of Australia and the Australia and New Zealand Breast Cancer Trials Group, Breast Cancer Trials is a group of world-leading breast cancer doctors and researchers based in Australia and New Zealand with a commitment to exploring and finding better treatments for people affected by breast cancer through clinical trials research.

The Trust has donated to the Breast Cancer Trials since 2007.
